We strive to create healthy soil which results in healthier plants. Healthier plants are able to withstand environmental pressures like insect attack, disease, and the torrential downpours we often get. We don't spray insecticides, herbicides, or fungicides due to their negative impacts on human AND soil health. We apply compost (from our own worm bin), homemade biochar, and wood chips throughout the growing season, grow cover crops, irrigate with compost teas & extracts, and don't use plastic mulches on our farm.
